The Palermo Collection
Adding an extra dimension to any picture, the Palermo Collection comes in two formats, the format chosen being the one that best suits the individual image or style of art.
With both formats, the proces starts with the print being mounted on wood and placed within a frame. There is a small gap between the edge of the print and the frame which makes the image appear to ‘float’ within the frame.
The frame is then either hand-painted in a single colour, a colour chosen to perfectly complement the image or elements of the image are skillfully hand-painted onto the frame, so that the picture appears to continue onto the frame. In this way, the frame becomes part of the picture and the picture has the perfect frame, one hand painted especially for it.
There is no need to use glass as part of the frame as the print is protected with a varnish coating. All of the pictures in the Palermo Collection come individually wrapped for protection and are ready to hang.
THE BARCELONA COLLECTION
The unique framing style of the Barcelona Collection provides a perfect presentation for the images we have selected. The print is mounted onto wood and this wooden panel is then placed onto a larger board. Because there is a gap between the smaller and larger panels, the image appears to ‘float’ above the larger board. The larger board is hand-painted a colour that perfectly complements the image.
No glass is used but the print is protected with a varnish coating. All of the pictures in the Barcelona Collection come individually wrapped for protection and are ready to hang.
WHAT IS AN ART BLOCK?
To create an Art Block, the print is applied to a high quality MDF board which has edges creating a box or block. The edges are colour co-ordianted to perfectly complement the print. The prints are applied to the board using a special process that creates a permanent bond. A coating is then applied to the artprints that protects the artprint, increases the brilliance of the colours and resists colour fading. Finally another fine coat of varnish is applied to the whole picture and the painted edges.
The completed Art Block is then individually wrapped for protection and comes ready to hang.
